Santa Fe Railway freight train symbol 928 at Sandcut crossover

Train 2-928 has been using the westward main between Kern Junction and Sandcut. The train will crossover and get back onto track two here at Sandcut. For some reason the dispatcher could not get the switches to reverse so the head brakeman will have to line the switches by hand. In the picture below, in the distance you can see the cut through the small hill of sand that gave this place its name.

 

Two-thirds back are helper engines 3800, 5628, and 3833.
