Engines Oakway 9046, 5127, 5013, and 5131 lead train TT124 on May 19, 1992. You can see how the grade flattens out at the railroad crossing. Train TT124 had 115 WPSX gondolas bound for Wisconsin Public Service's Weston power plant at Rothschild, WI. The train weighs in at 15,332 tons.

Waiting at the end of a short five mile stretch of double track is train NWNAX. You can see in this and other pictures to follow that the grading work has been done for adding a second main line from here nine miles north to East Bill. I missed the first train, but this is the second in a parade of seven south bound trains. The joint line needed the second track to cope with the plethora of trains moving in and out of the Powder River Basin in 1992. The line is now triple track from Donkey Creek Junction at the north to Shawnee Junction at the south end.
