SP Railroad train symbol WCKCM at Piedra, AZ

 

We chased the WCKCM east toward Gila Bend. We were able to get ahead of it and get to the sunny side of the tracks to get a couple pictures as the train came through Piedra. The train seems to stretch out to the horizon. You can see the new ties the work train had dropped off earlier in the day.

The elevation here is 725 feet. Piedra is at milepost 840. Caboose 4304 brings up the rear.
