In the early morning hours of August 1st, Amtrak’s Lakeshore Limited arrives at Union Station in Erie, Pennsylvania. The station was originally built in 1927 and restored to its current multi-purpose state in 2003 with a brewery, logistics firm, and other businesses in addition to an Amtrak station. While it now only sees the Lake Shore Limited twice a day, it once hosted dozens of trains from the New York Central and Pennsylvania Railroads, and various predecessors and affiliates.
