SP Railroad Searles Turn at Sullivans Curve in Cajon Pass

The Searles Turn (Extra 8477 East) comes through Sullivans Curve on its way to West Colton. For years this train went down Soledad Canyon through Saugus on its way to the harbor. With Taylor Yard being downgraded and operation shifting to West Colton, this train takes the long way around.

Normally road trains used bay window cabooses. It was interesting to see a caboose normally assigned to locals on the rear of this train.
