The Canadian Pacific Railway TEC train in McAdam, New Brunswick back in June 2006....

Reshared post from +Steve Boyko

The Canadian Pacific Railway TEC train in McAdam, New Brunswick back in June 2006. TEC stands for Track Evaluation Car. The train has a car filled with testing equipment that looks at the geometry of the track and is also equipped with a series of cameras.

Here the crew was being changed and they are comparing notes.

This train was leased by the shortline NB Southern Railway to inspect their track and is usually leased every year for testing.
