Government official: More than 100 estimated dead after Typhoon Haiyan hits Philippines

At least 100 people may have been killed when Super Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines, a government official said. 


Captain John Andrews, deputy director general of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, said bodies were lying in the streets after the storm flattened houses and triggered landslides and floods.
