The Barak valley Express, Assam

Men on top of train, India

The Barak valley Express, Assam Running down a slender corridor on the far side of Bangladesh, the line was built to connect the tea gardens of Assam to the port of Chittagong. It opened in 1903, but the link to the sea was cut by partition in 1947 and the railway fell into obscurity.
